Team members went to the 2024 Texas Advocates conference at the Kalahari Resort in Texas last week. We presented to almost 50 self-advocates and their supporters. They created collages describing:
- How they like to communicate;
- What kind of support they need ;
- What they like to do with their money; and
- Their hobbies that could become part of their work.
Some comments we got from participants were:
“I learned how to make a decision making money and hobbies, community & support.”
“I had so much fun!”
“I loved helping the people that I work with.”
