Anand A. is a self-advocate from Austin, Texas. His expertise includes peer support, computers and technology, employment, and social media.

Anand served as a virtual Peer Support Specialist on the Statewide Community Services Peer Support Specialists Project. He helped his clients identify their goals and create and follow plans to reach them. He has also been an advocate and community organizer for ADAPT of Texas for more than six years, fighting for the right of people with disabilities to lead independent lives. He also contributes to the organization’s Facebook page.

Anand has worked for more than 20 years in the retail and computer industries. He recently completed a technical support training program with Dell Technologies, where he  developed hands-on skills in hardware, software, and IT troubleshooting. He also assisted with UT Austin’s E4 Texas camp, managing Zoom class admissions, supporting students through private chat during lessons and assignments, and making sure class recordings were complete and accessible to staff.
