Katie S. is a self-advocate from Beaumont, Texas and a member of the Southeast Texas Self-Advocates Leadership Team. She has also been an officer for the Texas Advocates statewide advocacy group. Her areas of expertise include Criminal Justice, Pay & Benefits, Participatory Research, and Peer Support.

Katie served as a Peer Support Specialist on the Statewide Community Services Peer Support Specialists Project. She is a member of the Participatory Action Research Family Support Guide development team.

Katie is an avid volunteer. She helps with camps, special events, and more for the Arc of Greater Beaumont and other community organizations.
