Lisa S. is a self-advocate from Beaumont, Texas and a member of the Southeast Texas Self-Advocates Leadership Team. She has also held offices in the Texas Advocates statewide organization. She is an expert in peer support, participatory research, advocacy leadership, and employment.

Lisa began as a Peer Support Specialist on the Statewide Community Services Peer Support Specialists Project. She was promoted to Senior Peer Support Specialist based on her service record and mentoring of peers. She is a member of the Participatory Action Research training team. Lisa works at a day program and loves teaching her peers new skills.
