Description
Logan is a self-advocate from Orange, Texas and a member of the Southeast Texas Self-Advocates Leadership Team.
Logan began as a Peer Support Specialist on the Statewide Community Services Peer Support Specialists Project. He has also advocated at the Texas Legislature for a bill making peer support for people with IDD Medicaid-billable. He is a member of the Participatory Action Research Family Support Guide development team. He has spoken for the Aspen Institute on the marriage penalty and earnings/asset caps.
In 2025, Logan received the Empowerment Award for Excellence in Promotion of Self-Advocacy at the AAIDD Texas Conference. His areas of expertise include advocacy leadership, employment, participatory research, pay & benefits, peer support, public policy, public speaking, and rural issues.
